Amari Cooper Says There’s 1 Key To Keeping Everyone Happy

August 4, 2021 by The Spun Leave a Comment

Dallas Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper with the ball, with Atlanta Falcons CB A.J. Terrell in pursuit.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say the Dallas Cowboys have an embarrassment of riches at wide receiver. Their current depth chart features a lethal trio of Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb.

Dallas doesn’t just have a star-studded trio at wide receiver though. As of now, the position group also includes Noah Brown, Simi Fehoko and Cedrick Wilson.

With so many options in the passing game, there’s a strong chance that a few of these receivers won’t see that many targets this season. So how does Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore keep everyone happy? Cooper believes it all comes down to the final result.

“Winning,” Amari Cooper replied when asked how Dallas can keep its offensive weapons pleased this fall. “That’s how everybody will be happy.”

NFL teams always preach that winning cures everything. The Cowboys can validate that narrative this upcoming season.

There might be some games where even Cooper doesn’t receive as many targets as Gallup or Lamb. As long as Dallas wins those games, there shouldn’t be any friction in the locker room.

After missing the playoffs in back-to-back years, the only thing that should be on the team’s mind is a trip to the postseason.

The Cowboys will start the 2021 season on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That’ll be a tough test for Mike McCarthy’s squad.
