Just moments ago, Dan Quinn made a stunning decision regarding his future with the Dallas Cowboys.
Quinn received plenty of interest from NFL teams in need of a head coach in past weeks. It was practically a foregone conclusion that he’d leave the Cowboys for a head coaching position this offseason.
However, it appears Quinn has had a change of heart.
The Cowboys defensive coordinator is going to stick it out in Dallas. He wants to win a Super Bowl with the Cowboys.
“Dan Quinn has informed teams that he’s staying with the #Cowboys, per sources,” reports NFL insider Tom Pelissero. “Six teams requested head-coaching interviews with Quinn, who decided he wanted to return to Dallas and try to win a Super Bowl. He should be a hot name again next year.”

This is a shocking development and one that the Dallas Cowboys are more than welcome to.
From the sound of it, Dan Quinn isn’t happy with the way things ended this past season. The Cowboys fell to the San Francisco 49ers in the opening round of the NFC Playoffs.
Quinn’s decision to stay put as Cowboys defensive coordinator also must mean Jerry Jones isn’t making a head coaching change. It sounds like Mike McCarthy will get another year.
