16 Cowboys players will miss Dallas’ preseason Hall of Fame game versus Pittsburgh, the team announced today. Dallas faces the Steelers on Thursday in Canton, Ohio.

Dak Prescott headlines the list of guys set to miss Thursday’s matchup. Prescott, nursing a strained shoulder muscle, has abstained from throwing drills for a week now. He should be ready to go soon. Other notable inactive players include receiver Amari Cooper and left tackle Tyron Smith.

The Cowboys don’t want to rush anyone back from injury for a preseason game. The following list, taken from Dallas’ team site, includes eight projected starters.

  • LB Bradlee Anae
  • OT Josh Ball
  • LB Francis Bernard
  • WR Amari Cooper (Active/Physically Unable to Perform list)
  • DE Chauncey Golston (Active/PUP list)
  • CB C.J. Goodwin
  • DT Trysten Hill (Active/PUP list)
  • S Malik Hooker
  • TE Blake Jarwin
  • DE DeMarcus Lawrence
  • CB Jourdan Lewis
  • G Zack Martin
  • QB Dak Prescott
  • LT Tyron Smith
  • WR T.J. Vasher (Active/Non-Football Injury list)
  • K Greg Zuerlein (Active/PUP list)
