The Dallas Cowboys missed the playoffs during the 2020 season after a hoard of devastating injuries throughout the season.
Unfortunately, the multitude of injuries was headlined by the season-ending ankle injury to Dak Prescott. As if that wasn’t enough, Prescott is currently dealing with a shoulder injury to start camp.
He should be ready to go for the 2021 season, though. Another concerning injury came to star wide receiver Amari Cooper who underwent ankle surgery during the offseason.
Earlier this week, Cooper updated his status. He said he would be back in the field in a “couple of weeks,” which didn’t inspire a ton of confidence in Cowboys fans. “I’m supposed to be getting out there pretty soon,” he said during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan, via Sports Illustrated. “A couple of weeks.”
However, a new report suggests he’ll be ready when the 2021 season officially kicks off.
Good news for Cowboys WR Amari Cooper (ankle). He has passed his physical and has been taken off the physically unable to perform list. He’s expected to be ready for Week 1 against the Buccaneers

Cooper got off to an incredible start to the 2020 season before Prescott went down with a season-ending injury. The former first-round pick racked up over 400 yards receiving and a touchdown in the team’s first four games.
A healthy Cooper along with wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup gives the Cowboys one of the best wide receiver rooms in the league.
