The Dallas Cowboys are a fascinating team heading into the 2022-23 season.
They’re fresh off a 2021-22 season that saw them win the NFC East but fall short yet again in the playoffs. They lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the wild card round, 23-17 after not doing much on offense.
Dallas has still yet to go to a Super Bowl, let alone an NFC Championship Game since 1995.
Cowboys Vice President Stephen Jones had a message to the fanbase on Tuesday when he spoke on the radio about fan frustrations.
“I don’t think you ever win the Super Bowl in the offseason,” Jones said. “I think it’s a full body of work that you put together over time. I think we’ll be a better team and I think we can take the next step.”

The Cowboys have undergone a lot of surgery during this offseason.
They dealt star receiver Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns after choosing Michael Gallup over him. They also released kicker Greg Zuerlein, waived tight end Blake Jarwin, signed Jayron Kearse, Leighton Vander-Esch, Dante Fowler Jr., James Washington, and Malik Hooker.
They also lost star pass rusher, Randy Gregory, to the Denver Broncos.
Cowboys fans aren’t happy with Jones’ statement.

At a certain point in life, you realize that whatever you do or whatever you say, you’ll never agree with certain folks, about anything. That’s how I feel about Stephen Jones, he’s not a war time GM or a GM who will win it all for you. https://t.co/NDt10AMhnD

If the Cowboys fail to win a playoff game again next season, the fanbase will only continue to get more displeased.
