NFL trade deadline nears; Crosby-to-Cowboys buzz surges amid ongoing talks. The Las Vegas Raiders, of the AFC West, star Maxx Crosby could be headed to the Dallas Cowboys as the clock ticks toward the deadline.
Analysts say some fans are aging and have never seen the Cowboys win big in the playoffs.
According to the “Dallas Cowboys on 105.3 The Fan” podcast on Thursday:
“Jerry Jones needs something like this now to make the fans believe again,” the host said. “I hope we’re there. I hope that light bulb has come on like, “Hey guys, we got to get serious about making some winners. We got people turning 30 years old that have never been alive for real playoff success around this organization. It’s time to invest in that passion.” And if that’s the case, then you know, I’m not letting the Raiders trade him anywhere else.”
The Cowboys need a leader who brings competitive fire and holds teammates accountable like Michael Irvin. Crosby is perfect for this role, per reports.
What If Dallas Gets the Chance to Trade for Maxx Crosby?
Dallas has had trouble selecting good defensive players in the draft, and in the NFC East, coaches have sometimes erred. This has made it hard for them to have a strong defense. So, if they get the chance to sign Crosby, it would be a smart move. His contract could be affordable for Dallas in the long term. For the Raiders, trading Crosby makes sense as they rebuild their franchise, and they can use the draft picks Dallas would provide to select new players.
The Cowboys’ 3-3-1 record might affect whether they make more trades like the one pundits are talking about. The team’s owner, Jones, wants them to do well so that fans start believing in them again. The Cowboys have a big game coming up against the Denver Broncos. If they lose to Denver and then lose again before the trade deadline, people might stop expecting big trades.

But right now, I think @wingoz is reporting this from the Raiders end of things,’” 105.3 The FAN wrote on X.

The Cowboys Dealing with Injuries
One of their players, Cooper Beebe, was hurt but is getting better and might be ready to play against the Broncos. Dak Prescott is ready to go and wants to win the game no matter what. Another player, DeMarvion Overshown, was hurt but is getting stronger and faster every day. He’s hoping to be back on the field when the Cowboys play the Raiders. However, Trevon Diggs and Donovan Wilson are still dealing with injuries and might not be able to play.
On a good note, Tyler Smith is doing okay after being hurt. The Cowboys also have Hunter Luepke, who can do lots of different things on special teams, like kicking and snapping the ball.
The big question is, will the Cowboys make a big trade to get a superstar player, or will they miss their chance to win the championship? Next up, the Cowboys host the Arizona Cardinals on Nov. 3.
