The 2021 NFL draft is officially less than two weeks away, meaning speculation, smokescreens, and mock drafts are at their peak as experts and fans alike try to pinpoint what college stars their favorite NFL team will add.
The Dallas Cowboys are largely done in free agency after signing 10 players, though none of the signings were remarkable enough to shore up Dallas’ more pressing needs, especially on defense. For that reason, the Cowboys mock drafts have remained extremely similar throughout the draft process, with only a handful of players staying linked to Dallas.
When Cowboys Wire did this experiment two weeks ago Patrick Surtain II was the most common prediction for Dallas, and that trend continued as the Alabama cornerback is featured in 12 of the 20 following mocks. In the last go around, Northwestern’s Rashawn Slater was the second most featured selection, and while he is represented twice in the upcoming list, South Carolina’s Jaycee Horn has seemingly surpassed Slater as the next most-likely option behind Surtain. Those three names comprise 19 of the 20 mocks, keep reading to find out who is the lone wolf on the list.
