The Dallas Cowboys officially have first-round pick Tyler Booker under contract
There was a tad bit of uproar when guard Tyler Booker was taken with the 12th overall pick by the Dallas Cowboys. However, getting one of the top offensive linemen in the NFL draft, and the best player at his position, is never a bad thing. Now, the former Alabama star is officially a part of the organization as he has signed his rookie deal per Todd Archer of ESPN.
The Cowboys have signed first-round pick Tyler Booker to a four-year, $22.553 million deal that includes a signing bonus of $13 million, per sources. Only second rounder Donovan Ezeiruaku and fifth rounder Jaydon Blue remain unsigned as rookie camp begins today.

His initial four years will cost $22.5 million, with a $13 million signing bonus. Since Booker is a first-rounder, if he pans out as a prospect, which everyone expects, the Cowboys will have a fifth-year option on him to use just in case a long-term extension isn’t reached beforehand.
Unless something unforeseen happens, Booker will be the starting right guard for the Cowboys for the foreseeable future, taking over for future Hall of Famer Zack Martin. With Tyler Smith holding down the left guard spot and Cooper Beebe at center, Dallas has the interior of their offensive set for quite some time.
Also of note, the Cowboys have signed the rest of their draft class with the exception of DE Donovan Ezeiruaku and RB Jaydon Blue.
