Dak Prescott Fires Off 2-Word Message to Locker Room Ahead of Title Push

July 29, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

It was one of the roughest days in Dak Prescott’s life when Jerry Jones and the organization were hit with $52.7 million news on January 8, 2025. Spotrac had posted on Twitter, “Dak Prescott holds a league-high $89.9M cap figure with the #Cowboys in 2025. Even if (when) Dallas processes a full salary conversion, the lowest his cap hit can be for the upcoming season is $52.7M.” It had come after Stephen Jones announced Prescott’s contract restructuring plan. It was surely the time when the highest-paid QB in the league was encircled by heavy backlash from the Cowboys fans after a hamstring injury.

But the Cowboys’ No. 4 bounced back with a healthy recovery from an injury and sent a clear message of arrival by saying he is full go for the upcoming season. And just a few days after he said that, the Cowboys’ training started with so much noise, which was not just because of Prescott, but also because the people wanted to see George Pickens and CeeDee playing together.

Buckle up, as the upcoming season is going to be unprecedented in terms of looking at the past 35 years for the franchise. Jerry Jones’ team hasn’t won a Super Bowl in the past 30 years. In fact, they haven’t entered the conference round in the past 30 years. But to change history, Prescott and the team are fired up, sending a two-word message for the haters who think the Super Bowl dream is not going to come true.

Prescott was recently in a press conference after practicing in the training camp on July 25. When one of the reporters asked him, “Tyler Smith thinks this is a Super Bowl-winning roster, potentially. Do you think that’s a reasonable expectation?” And Prescott replied, summing up with a two-word message: “Get Out” for those who don’t think this way. To elaborate, let’s examine what exactly the Cowboys’ QB1 said.

He said, “Hell yeah. If he doesn’t believe it or anybody in the locker room doesn’t believe it, then I asked them to get out. And he said the day when we showed up. If you don’t want to win a Super Bowl, don’t think we can win a Super Bowl, then don’t come to Oxnard, and you’re in the wrong place. We know the standard when you wear the star.”

Basically, Prescott was saying that the locker room should be fired up to win the Super Bowl. Per him, if anyone thinks the team is going to go the other way, they need to “get out” and clear their mind from the negative mindset.
