Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is not at the team’s voluntary offseason workouts.
He’s away as he’s seeking a new contract but it doesn’t have quarterback Dak Prescott concerned. He knows that Lamb is still getting ready for the season.
“We’re roommates all of July, so if that’s the case, that’ll be fine,” Prescott said, (first transcribed by ProFootballTalk). “No worries. I know what he’s doing. I know how he’s preparing. All the confidence in the way he’s preparing and how he’s doing.”
Lamb is expected to make just under $18 million this season ($17.99 million), the final year of his contract. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent in 2025 and will be eligible for the franchise tag.
The Cowboys don’t want to let him go and they’ll likely start contract discussions at some point before the season.
Lamb is coming off the best season of his career in 2023, finishing with 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. It also earned him All-Pro honors.
This was also the third straight season that Lamb finished with over 1,000 yards.
