Ex-Cowboys Star Parsons Sideline Shoutout Crowns Packers Willis

December 30, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

Parsons was the identity — the identity is now fractured.

Super Bowl parades, defensive dominance, and an unstoppable pass rush. High expectations like these became a social norm after the blockbuster trade that brought Micah Parsons to Green Bay earlier in 2025. A championship roster was thought to be a thing of destiny, something scripted in the stars or in the predictions of every major analyst. Yet, as ex-Cowboys star Parsons clutched his knee in Denver, silencing the faithful with a non-contact ACL tear, we learned that we were wrong. Even worse, we were sorely unprepared for such a defensive collapse. Our schemes were no match for the void left by his $188 million absence.

Fans witnessed the ‘leveling’ first-hand against Baltimore. Wave after wave of Derrick Henry turned linebackers, corners, and safeties into nothing. But when all hope seemed lost, he stopped the bleeding on the other side of the ball. The offense was saved. Pride was saved. He saved us all. Malik Willis.

Ex-Cowboys Star Parsons Crowns Green Bay Packers Willis

The backup quarterback went on to deliver a historic performance on that freezing Saturday. For over 60 minutes, Willis saved drives, all the while Jordan Love, the franchise’s savior, remained in the dark protocol of a concussion suffered a week prior at Soldier Field. Willis completed 85 percent of his passes, rushed for two scores, and compiled 348 total yards just to show the league his worth and turn the narrative against the doubters who once called him a Titans castoff.

Baltimore unleashed Henry, a creature of power and speed, to murder our playoff positioning. They used this walking disaster to run for 216 yards and four touchdowns. Willis and Henry fought for the soul of the game at Lambeau Field. The Ravens won in the end. They exploited the edge where Parsons used to be and caused the season to spin into a whirlwind of chaos. The team changed when Parsons arrived, and we changed again when he fell.

The star player took to Instagram Story to declare:

“This guy is special!”

Those words have been echoing in the social sphere since Parsons typed them out from the sidelines.

No Love for Green Bay Packers but Willis Wills

Before this game, Willis was a subject of uncertainty. People looked at him and only saw a developmental project. Then the concussion happened, and the fanbase went berserk with anxiety. People feared the offense would stall. Later evidence uncovered by the 41-24 loss proved that the defense was to blame.

Title hopes died in this division along with Parsons’ knee. Willis was attempting to resurrect the notion of a contender, accounting for 96% of the offense, but without the defense here, it seems like the little residual optimism left in this roster is slipping away.

He was here for our team, to provide a service only a high-value asset could, but the Ravens took this wounded squad and crushed its spirit on the scoreboard. Now that the NFC North is gone, a dangerous road as a seventh seed looms. The defense has struggled to find its identity since Denver. Where will it end?

I feel compelled to ask the obvious question, “Can they survive the postseason without their heart?” The answer – unlikely. Parsons was the shield, and the shield is broken.
