The Dallas Cowboys are about where, entering the season, everyone thought they would be after three weeks. After losing the season opener, the Cowboys have now won two straight and are sitting at 2-1 due to a 23-16 Monday Night Football victory over the Giants.
The trip to New York was the first road test for the Cowboys and quarterback Cooper Rush started consecutive weeks for the first time in his career. Playing with a backup QB means it isn’t always going to be pretty, but Rush was efficient enough to lead the offense to 23 points. Dallas’ defense pitched in with five sacks and cornerback Trevon Diggs had a game-sealing interception as the unit held their third straight opponent under 20 points.
