There’s an alternate universe in which the Dallas Cowboys drafted quarterback Paxton Lynch in the first or second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
In that universe, Dak Prescott is not taken by the Dallas Cowboys, and the Tony Romo succession plan is extremely unclear.
Thankfully for the Cowboys, that universe isn’t the one we live in, but we were reportedly pretty close to that happening.

Thankfully for the Cowboys, the Broncos scooped up Lynch in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, leaving Dak Prescott for Dallas a couple of rounds later.
