Forbes released its annual list of the most valuable NFL franchises and there was little surprise when it came to who was on top.
As with nearly every prior list in recent memory, the Dallas Cowboys sit atop the mountain at a net value of $6.5 billion. They’re valued at 30-percent higher than the second-place New England Patriots, who are valued at $5 billion.
But as NFL world goes further down the list, a few of the teams that made the list really started sticking out. Some noticed that the Los Angeles Rams have suddenly jumped into fourth at $4.8 billion despite not being anywhere near that much when they were in St. Louis just a few years ago.
Perhaps the biggest thing that stood out though is how dominant the NFC East division is. All four of the NFC East teams – the Cowboys, New York Giants, Washington Football Team and Philadelphia Eagles – made the top 10. The Cowboys, Giants and WFT all made the top five.

As bad as the Dallas Cowboys and the rest of the NFC East was in 2020, their slump did nothing at all to diminish their respective brand values.
Even amid all of the controversy that the NFL courts on a seemingly-weekly basis, they are a near unstoppable juggernaut of growth.
Others, meanwhile, are pointing to Tom Brady’s clear impact on the Patriots’ value. New England has skyrocketed in value over the last two decades.

It’s doubtful that any of the top franchises in the sport will be sold in the future. But any deals that might happen in the future could very well go into 10-digits.
