Believe it or not, football is back! Well, sort of. JuJu Smith-Schuster and the Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the Dallas Cowboys in the annual Hall of Fame Game Thursday night to kickoff preseason.
If tonight’s game snuck up on you, you’re not alone. Even Smith-Schuster can’t believe the preseason has already arrived. He sent a message via Twitter on Thursday ahead of the Hall of Fame Game. He’s excited for some football just like the rest of us.
“Football is back … See y’all soon!,” Smith-Schuster said on Twitter.
We’ll be lucky if we get to see Smith-Schuster play a series or two during tonight’s game. Regardless, we’ll get a good look at the various Cowboys and Steelers players trying to make the final 53-man rosters. Football is back!

Stars and veterans like JuJu Smith-Schuster and Ben Roethlisberger won’t play much or at all Thursday night. Youngsters like Steelers first-round pick Najee Harris should get a few snaps, though.
Pittsburgh’s running game has been horrendous these past few years. You can blame the offensive line or running backs or even the scheme. Regardless, it needs to improve if the Steelers want to make a run to the playoffs this upcoming season. Hopefully Harris will help turn the unit around.
Harris was sensational for the Alabama Crimson Tide during his collegiate career. He totaled 3,843 yards and 57 scores in Tuscaloosa. Will he become the Steelers’ next superstar running back? We’ll get a first look this evening.
The Steelers take on the Cowboys at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
