Some notable Cowboys won’t make the trip to Canton.
We are just one day away from the Dallas Cowboys playing a football game in over seven months, and regardless of the fact that it is the preseason that is exciting. On the other hand, It is not only the preseason, but it is the Pro Football Hall of Fame game. If there were ever a game truly void of consequence in the NFL, it is undeniably this one.
As this game is the first of four exhibition contests that the Cowboys will be playing this year, it isn’t shocking to see that they are already ruling some players out. How are they doing that exactly? On Wednesday the Cowboys released a list of 16 names, players that will not even be making the trip to Canton, Ohio.
- Bradlee Anae
- Josh Ball
- Francis Bernard
- Amari Cooper
- Chauncey Golston
- C.J. Goodwin
- Trysten Hill
- Malik Hooker
- Blake Jarwin
- DeMarcus Lawrence
- Jourdan Lewis
- Zack Martin
- Dak Prescott
- Tyron Smith
- T.J. Vasher
- Greg Zuerlein
None of these names are shocking given the events of the first nine practices out in Oxnard. Speaking of the team’s California residence at the moment, it is for this reason that it makes no sense for any player who is even slightly on the mend to travel. The Cowboys will be returning to Oxnard on Friday ahead of their joint practice with the Los Angeles rams so caution should be exercised wherever it is available.
While these players won’t be part of the festivities in Canton, there will still be a football game.
