Quarterback Dak Prescott is the talk of the Dallas Cowboys this offseason.
Prescott just wrapped up his eighth season with the Cowboys and arguably had his best season, finishing with 4,516 yards through the air, 36 touchdowns, and only nine interceptions.
He didn’t have a good playoff game against the Green Bay Packers but that shouldn’t take away from everything he accomplished during the regular season.
His contract is set to expire after the 2024 season and as of right now, he and the Cowboys have yet to discuss an extension.
Despite that, Prescott is all-in on the Cowboys for this season and has the backing of former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman.
“I still believe in Dak,” Aikman said, (first transcribed by ProFootballTalk). “I think that until you do it, there’s always those criticisms. I know Peyton Manning went through that. His first three years, he didn’t win a playoff game, and then you look back on it now and you can’t imagine that anyone would question whether or not he could win a playoff game.”
If Prescott has a good playoff run this upcoming season, that could ease some of the concerns that the Cowboys have about him in the big games.
