As it stands right now the Dallas Cowboys tight end depth chart is Dalton Schultz, Jeremy Sprinkle, and Sean McKeon. It could use an infusion of long-term, top-end talent. Meanwhile, Virginia tight end Jelani Woods put on a show at his pro day, scoring a perfect 10 on his RAS score, which is historically the most athletic tight end position ever.
Woods started off his career at Oklahoma State, where he was recruited as a quarterback. He started 28 career games in his time there and earned two-time (2018 and 2019) All-Big 12 honorable mention honoree by the league’s coaches. He transferred to Virginia and he shined in a big way. He finished the season earning First-Team All-ACC honors, Associated Press and Phil Steele First Team All-ACC honors, and was invited to participate in the East-West Shrine Bowl. He’s so intriguing, he was one of several TEs Dallas brought in for an official pre-draft visit.
