What’s coming up in week 4 in the NFC East

The NFC East had an underwhelming performance in week 3 with 3 losses and a tie.  Yikes!

One can only hope that week 4 gets better for the division. But let’s see what’s coming up for the teams on Sunday.

Baltimore Ravens (2-1) at Washington Football Team (1-2)

The task for the Washington Football team doesn’t get any easier, as they take on the hot Baltimore Ravens. True, the Ravens are coming off of a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and are on a short week, but that doesn’t make the task any easier.

Quarterback Dwayne Haskins is still expected to start Sunday’s game despite having some trouble in Cleveland.  Sadly, they have another hole to dig out of, as defensive end Chase Young will most likely be out. Their defense is where they’ve been able to do some damage, and Young specifically, as he is one of the league’s leaders in sacks.  They’ve also lost defensive tackle Matt Ioannidis for the season.  It will be tough sledding for Washington on Sunday.

On the bright side, though, they are in the first place!

Cleveland Browns (2-1) at  Dallas Cowboys (1-2)

After coming close to a victory over the Seahawks, the Cowboys are looking to get to .500 in the division. They welcome the Cleveland Browns, who are actually starting to put things together and look like a decent team.

This game could be closer than expected, especially if Dallas’s offense gets a late start as they did against the Seahawks.  I think this tweet best sums up the Cowboys right now.  I’m still taking the Cowboys to win, but anything could happen.

Dallas is still a very, very dangerous team that can compete with the league’s best on any given day.

However, injuries to OL, LB, and DBs obviously make them susceptible to almost any opponent.

Typical Cowboys rollercoaster season.

Philadelphia Eagles (0-2-1) at San Francisco 49ers (2-1)

Coming off of a tie, the Eagles are going to have to work some magic in San Fransico to get the win.  San Francisco, despite having the injury bug, is playing pretty good football.  Unfortunately, the Eagles are not.

Quarterback Carson Wentz is still the starter, despite calls for rookie QB Jalen Hurts.  Hurts came in the game last week, after Wentz had 3 interceptions.  If the Eagles are going to turn it around this season, now is going to be the time.  But… it’s going to be tough. Their schedule isn’t going to get much easier going forward, as they face the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens in the next few weeks.

New York Giants (0-3) at LA Rams (2-1)

I’ve said it before when your quarterback is your leading rusher, things just aren’t right. And yes, we know that running back Saquon Barkley is injured, but still.  When you’re in last place in what is the worst division in football, you need something to go your way. This week isn’t it as they’re going to be facing defensive tackle Aaron Donald.  It’s gonna be a long game for the Giants.

There isn’t much to say about this game other than the Rams are playing at a high level and the Giants aren’t. It might get ugly.
