GAME 99: 4-1 Win vs Detroit Tigers
GAME 100: 1-2 Loss vs Detroit Tigers
The Rangers came back from the All Star Break and won a series against the best team in baseball, the Detroit Tigers.
The series win, brought them to .500 for the first time since June. Then above .500 for the first time since may. The loss on Sunday then brought them to a 50-50 record with 62 games left and the trade deadline looming.
Speaking of, the Rangers made their first move and traded Dane Dunning to the Atlanta Braves. Mostly this was to get cash and make room on the 40 man considering the pitcher they got in return was not the best.
An influx of injuries also made an appearance after the All Star Break. Jake Burger and Sam Haggerty went on the injured list before Friday’s game, Nathan Eovaldi’s Sunday start was scratched due to back stiffness on Saturday, and Chris Martin strained his calf in Sunday’s game.
