A perfect week for the 2025 Texas Rangers?
Feeling pretty 2023 up in here…

And the timing is pretty perfect as well. The Rangers are 11-2 for their last 13 games, the Houston Astros, who are first in the division, have been 5-11 for their last 16. In fact, the Rangers swept the Athletics only for the Athletics to turn around and sweep the Astros in a four game series. Allowing Texas to gain some ground in the division and now they’re only four games back.
Thanks to the six game win streak, the Rangers are now tied with Seattle for second in the division and the third wild card spot.
These are the Rangers we have been waiting for all season and it’s a relief they showed up in time..
Up until July, the 2025 Rangers had been extremely unlucky and inconsistent hitting. It’s a miracle their pitching has stayed consistently good and locked down. The Rangers pitching leads the majors in ERA, WHIP, and opponents batting average. They kept the team’s head above water. And now that hitting is picking up, they can make a legitimate run the rest of the season.
For what it’s worth, their fielding has been phenomenal as well with the fewest errors in the majors and number one in fielding percentage.
Their pitching has already been great but they get an added boost with Jon Gray coming back. Currently in the bullpen, he made his season debut on Wednesday and got his first win.
Texas is about to go on a seven game road trip with four in Los Angeles against the Angels and three in Seattle where they can really make up even more ground in the playoff race.
