Get me off Manfred’s wild ride
The Texas Rangers scored four runs but the Seattle Mariners scored six runs in 12 innings.
I miss when the Rangers somehow always avoided playing this bogus version of baseball. At least then it was just good, honest miserable losses instead of dishonest zombie losses.
Player of the Game: Jack Leiter followed up a solid Kumar Rocker start with a good outing of his own. Our Vandy boys are growing up!
Today Leiter went six innings and allowed a run on seven hits with, importantly, zero walks while striking out seven M’s. Unfortunately, the bats weren’t able to support him enough for a win but bouncing back after a few rough outings was a nice consolation prize for Leiter.
Up Next: The Rangers will close out June by opening a series with the Orioles with LHP Patrick Corbin expected to start for Texas against LHP Trevor Rogers for Baltimore.
The Monday evening first pitch from The Shed is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT and will be aired on the Rangers Sports Network.
