I see the 2025 Texas Rangers are back from their brief vacation
The Texas Rangers scored five runs but the Anaheim Angels scored eight runs.
Yeah, I don’t want to spend my time writing about this game at midnight. If you didn’t watch but you want to know what happened — you don’t, trust me — just glance to the first line up there and move on.
The scoreboard says that the Rangers committed two errors tonight and buddy let me tell you, this is only correct in the most technical sense. We might not have perceived a number high enough as a species yet to count the number of miscues that Texas produced in this one.
If you thought last night’s game was strange, tonight’s game made it look like a quaint and commonplace by comparison.
If these games have seemed frustrating aside from the mistakes, it’s probably because on four separate occasions now, after Rangers have scored in an inning to tie or take a lead, the Angels have immediately scored in the bottom of the inning to even the game or retake the lead.
If you stayed up and watched this one until the end, you were rewarded with a Joc Pederson weak roll over ground out after he sat for most of the game against a lefty starter. Now that’s fan service!
The Rangers had over twice as many hits as the Angels tonight. 14 to 6. So, yes, that means the Angels had more runs than hits.
If you enjoy farcical comedies, and hate the Texas Rangers, tonight might have been the game for you.
Player of the Game: Kyle Higashioka rejoined the lineup and had a trio of hits including two solo home runs. Yippee!
Up Next: Another one of these fucking west coast games at west coast game times (TM) despite it being a getaway game for Texas. Arte Moreno? More like Farte Morono.
