Featuring the third no hitter of the year for a Rangers affiliate
Hickory starter J’Briell Easley allowed one run in four innings, striking out three and walking two. Brock Porter struck out three and walked one in two innings.
Maxton Martin doubled and stole a base. Ben Hartl had a hit, a walk and a pair of stolen bases. Chandler Pollard had a hit.
Aidan Curry started for Hub City and went 4.1 innings, allowing two runs, walking four, giving up a bomb and fanning two. Josh Mollerus struck out one and walked one in two innings. Wilian Bormie struck out two and walked one in 0.2 IP.
Dylan Dreiling drew a pair of walks. Yeison Morrobel, in his first full season action of 2025, was 2 for 4 with a double. Gleider Figuereo was 2 for 4. Esteban Mejia (who I keep wanted to call Eduardo) had a hit.
Frisco pitchers Kohl Drake, Ryan Lobus and Skylar Hales combined for a no hitter, the third of the year for a Rangers affiliate, with the first two being thrown by Hickory.
Drake struck out six and walked two in six shutout innings. The 24 year old lefty now has 34 Ks in 22.1 innings so far in 2025, against 11 walks. Ryan Lobus allowed a run in 1.1 IP as he was a bit wild, walking three and hitting a batter. The run Lobus gave up scored when Skylar Hales came into the game in the 8th with the bases loaded and one out and hit the first batter he faced. Hales added a walk and struck out two in 1.2 IP.
Cam Cauley was 3 for 4 with a homer. Sebastian Walcott was 2 for 5 with a stolen base. Abi Ortiz had a pair of hits. Alejandro Osuna drew a walk. Aaron Zavala had two hits and a walk. Keyber Rodriguez, who I probably should be including in these write-ups, was 2 for 5 with a double and a triple, and is now slashing .345/.394/.476 on the year.
Gerson Garabito started for Round Rock in El Paso and had issues, allowing five runs in 3.2 IP, striking out three, walking two and giving up a homer. Robbie Ahlstrom walked two and struck out one while allowing three runs in 1.1 IP, and catcher Konner Piotto had to be asked to finish the game on the mound.
Ezequiel Duran was 1 for 3 with a double before being lifted mid-game because he was summoned to Boston to take the place of Kevin Pillar, who went on the injured list yesterday. Jake Burger was 2 for 4. Justin Foscue was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. Cody Freeman was 2 for 4 with a double.
