Hickory starter Enrique Segura allowed a solo home run in six innings, striking out seven and walking no one.
Chandler Pollard had a hit and a stolen base. Maxton Martin had a double. Yeremi Cabrera had a hit and a walk. Rafe Perich had a hit.
Hub City starter Aidan Curry’s Jekyll and Hyde season continued, with Dr. Jekyll appearing Wednesday. He threw five shutout innings, striking out six and walking one. He has allowed 14 runs in 5.1 IP in his three really bad outings, and five runs in 25.1 IP in his six good outings.
Dylan MacLean walked three and struck out one in 1.2 scoreless innings. Josh Mollerus struck out one in 2.1 shutout innings.
Casey Cook was 1 for 3 with a homer. Yeison Morrobel was 2 for 4. Keith Jones II doubled. Anthony Gutierrez had a hit.
Kohl Drake started for Frisco, striking out seven and walking two in four innings, allowing three runs, including a homer. Larson Kindreich struck out one and walked two in two scoreless innings. Skylar Hales struck out two in a shutout inning. Avery Weems struck out two in a scoreless inning.
Aaron Zavala homered, and since April 19 is slashing .304/.426/.496 in 141 plate appearances with 24 walks and 38 Ks. I’m not sure he’s a legitimate prospect again, yet, but he’s at least doing well enough that he’ll get a chance at AAA at some point.
Abi Ortiz had a hit.
Round Rock beat Salt Lake City by a score of 21-2.
For Round Rock, Patrick Murphy struck out one in 1.1 scoreless. Luis Curvelo struck out two in a shutout innings.
Justin Foscue returned to Round Rock from his rehab assignment and was 3 for 5 with a walk and a pair of homers. Cody Freeman was 3 for 7 with a double and a homer. Dustin Harris was 4 for 7 with a double, a triple and a homer. Blaine Crim was 2 for 6 with a double and a walk.
The ACL Rangers won, 7-6.
