Complex league action, featuring rehabbing Jon Gray
Jon Gray’s scheduled rehab start for Round Rock on Sunday was rained out, so he instead made a rehab start for the ACL Rangers, allowing one run in three innings of work, striking out two. There’s no pitch count available, but he faced 13 batters, so I’m guessing he went about 50 pitches. That would put him probably two more rehab starts away from being an option in the Ranger rotation, should they need a starting pitcher.
Aidan Deakins went 4.1 IP, allowing one run, striking out seven and walking two.
Yolfran Castillo was 3 for 5 with a triple. Angel Arredondo was 2 for 5. Paulino Santana was 2 for 3 with a homer. Braylin Morel doubled. Deward Tovar was 2 for 5.
