
Saturday’s minor league excitement
Hickory finished their suspended game and then played their regular game.
The first game was suspended in the top of the first, with Hickory having scored two runs on a hit and three walks. They had one hit and no walks the rest of the way.
In Game One, starter Aneudis Mejia went five innings, allowing one run and striking out four. Yeremi Cabrera had a hit. Maxton Martin had a hit and a walk.
In Game Two, starter Kamdyn Perry struck out three and walked one in three shutout innings. Kyle Larsen struck out one and walked two in a shutout inning.
Hub City starter Kolton Curtis went 4.2 IP, allowing three runs, walking four and striking out five. Wilian Bormie allowed a run in 2.1 IP, striking out two and walking one.
Casey Cook had a grand slam. Dylan Dreiling had a triple and a walk. Anthony Gutierrez had a hit and a stolen base. Rafe Perich was 2 for 3 with a walk.
Jose Corniell started for Frisco, striking out three in three shutout innings. Bryan Magdaleno struck out two and walked one in a shutout inning.
Rehabbing Jake Burger was 1 for 4 with a double. Abi Ortiz had a hit. Keith Jones II was 2 for 4 with a double. Aaron Zavala had a double and a walk.
For Round Rock, Michael Helman was 2 for 4 with a double. Cody Freeman had a hit. Justin Foscue was 2 for 4.
