The Sunday minor league excitement
Hickory starter Ismael Agreda went 1.2 IP, allowing one run, walking three and striking out one. Aidan Deakins got roughed up in his full season debut, allowing three runs in an inning, striking out one and walking two. Brock Porter walked one and struck out one in a shutout inning.
Yeremi Cabrera homered and stole a base. Braylin Morel had a hit.
Hub City starter Jose Gonzalez had one of his best starts of the season, striking out seven in seven shutout innings, with three hits and no walks.
Malcolm Moore was 1 for 2 with a stolen base before leaving the game for reasons that I’m currently unsure of. Casey Cook had a hit, a walk and a stolen base. Dylan Dreiling had a double. Gleider Figuereo had a hit.
Frisco starter Josh Stephan allowed a homer and walked two while allowing two runs in 3.2 IP, striking out three. Joey Danielson walked two and struck out one, allowing a run in 1.2 IP.
Rehabbing Jake Burger was 0 for 4 with a K. Sebastian Walcott was 3 for 4.
Carl Edwards Jr. started for Round Rock, allowing five runs in 5.1 IP, striking out five and walking two. Robbie Ahlstrom struck out one in two scoreless innings. Joe Barlow allowed a solo homer in an inning of work, striking out one.
Cody Freeman was 1 for 2 before with a double before leaving the game after the fourth inning for unknown reasons. Its possible that Josh Jung’s calf is going to result in an i.l. trip, in which case Freeman would likely have been lifted because he’s being added to the active roster. Or maybe he tweaked something. Who knows.
Michael Helman doubled and stole a base.
