A full slate of minor league action for your eyeballs

Down East won via a blow out on Thursday, which is always fun. Feliciano Serrano went five innings, allowing an unearned run on three hits and a walk, striking out six. Teodoro Ortega allowed two hits and a walk in 2 IP, with two Ks. Connor Sechler threw a scoreless inning with 2 Ks. Marc Church did his thing, striking out three in an inning while allowing one hit.

Newly promoted Daniel Mateo went three for six with a stolen base. Keyber Rodriguez had a double and two singles before being lifted for pinch hitter Jose Acosta, who homered in his one at bat. Angel Aponte had a hit and a walk. Thomas Saggese had three hits.

Down East box score

Hickory also won big on Thursday, by a 7-0 score. Zak Kent struck out 13 — yes, 13 — in 7 shutout innings, allowing one walk and two hits, lowering his ERA on the year to 2.83.

Justin Foscue had a double and a walk, and his OPS is now 1108. Justin Hauver hit a home run and walked twice. Dustin Harris had a hit. Frainyer Chavez had a pairo f hits. Pedro Gonzalez went 2 for 4 with a homer.

Hickory box score

Cody Bradford made his AA debut on Thursday and was really, really good. Bradford struck out 9 in 5.1 shutout innings, walking no one and allowing two hits. Corey Lee — The Viper — allowed two hits and a run in 0.2 IP, striking out two.

J.P. Martinez had a homer and a walk. Josh Stowers had a hit and a walk. Blaine Crim, Anderson Tejeda, and Josh Jung each had hits. Miguel Aparicio went 0 for 3 in his AA debut, playing right field.

Frisco box score

Yerry Rodriguez made his AAA debut on Thursday and had a rough go of it. He allowed eight runs on seven hits and two walks in three innings, striking out three and allowing a homer. Luis Ortiz allowed three runs in three innings of work, with two home runs, striking out two. Jason Bahr struck out four and walked one in two innings. Nick Snyder threw a scoreless inning, striking out two, walking one and allowing a hit.

Leody Taveras homered and walked. Steele Walker went 1 for 4 with a walk and a K in his AAA debut. Nick Solak had a hit and a walk. Sherten Apostel had a hit.

Round Rock box score

Winston Santos threw three scoreless innings for the Baby Rangers, allowing one walk and no hits, striking out six. Kai Wynyard threw two scoreless, with a walk and a hit, striking out three. Anthony Hoopii-Tuionetoa allowed four runs in two innings of work, striking out four, allowing three hits and walking one. Luke Schiltz allowed five runs in 0.2 IP.

Davis Wendzel started a rehab assignment and went 1 for 3. Josy Galan, Antonio Cabella, Junior Paniagua and Xavier Valentin all had hits.
