Down East had Gavin Collyer take the mound for the start, and Collyer was solid, giving up two runs in six innings of work, walking two and striking out seven. For the year, Collyer now has a 3.33 ERA in 73 innings. Destin Dotson threw 1.1 scoreless innings, walking one and striking out two. Conner Sechler allowed three runs (including a zombie runner) in an inning of work.
Jayce Easley had a walk and a pair of hits. Luisangel Acuna had a single and a homer. Aaron Zavala had three hits. Keyber Rodriguez and Angel Aponte had a hit apiece.
Justin Slaten started for Hickory, going 3.2 IP, allowing four runs on three walks and seven hits while striking out five. Ezequiel Duran had a hit and a walk. Dustin Harris had a pair of doubles. Trevor Hauver had a pair of singles.
Cole Ragans started for Frisco. Ragans allowed four runs in five innings, walking one, allowing six hits (including a home run) and striking out three. Daniel Robert struck out three in 1.1 IP, lowering his ERA to 0.60 for Frisco.
Josh Smith had two homers and a walk. Justin Foscue had a single and a homer. Bubba Thompson had a homer and two doubles. Josh Stowers had a homer. Sam Huff had a single, a double and a walk. Blaine Crim had a hit.
Brock Burke started for the Express and went five innings, allowing one run on three hits and a walk, striking out six. Demarcus Evans and Yerry Rodriguez each threw a shutout inning.
Josh Jung had a homer, a double and a walk. Andy Ibanez had a hit and a walk. Steele Walker had a double and a walk.
D.J. McCarty gave up six runs for the ACL Rangers in 2.1 IP. Anthony Hoopii-Tuionetoa allowed a run in 2.2 IP, striking out three and walking one. Mitch Bratt struck out four in two shutout innings.
