Texas Rangers update for Saturday, May 17.
Good morning, LSB.
The Rangers were burned by their bullpen last night and fell to the Astros to snap the team’s 6-game win streak.
Texas didn’t exactly make the most out of another sharp start for Nathan Eovaldi.
Speaking of Eovaldi, FanGraphs has a piece up about Nate competing for the Cy Young without top-of-the-line stuff.
Elsewhere, Kumar Rocker has been cleared to pitch, or will be soon.
Cole Winn returns to the majors with a more diversified repertoire.
And Michael Young chatted with Evan Grant and John Blake about the 2010-11 Texas Rangers teams and at what point he knew that squad had something special.
That’s all for this morning. The Rangers play their third of four against the Astros this weekend tonight at 6:05 with Tyler Mahle on the mound for Texas.
Have a good weekend!
