A’s 2, Rangers 1
A’s 2, Rangers 1
- Its deja vu all over again.
- The Rangers got a very good effort from their pitchers. They did not score enough runs. Rinse, repeat.
- This is the sixth straight game where the Rangers have scored three or fewer runs. Its the fourth straight game where they’ve allowed three or fewer runs. They are 1-3 in those four games.
- Its remarkable. The Rangers run out Patrick Corbin, Jacob Webb, Shawn Armstrong and Hoby Milner, and hold the opposition to two runs. Two runs! From that crew! And the offense can’t take advantage of it.
- I’m tired of talking about the offense, about the listless bats that continue to underperform and let well-pitched games go to waste.
- The problem is, it is still just April, and the lifeless offense is the main storyline right now.
- Patrick Corbin’s sinker maxed out at 92.3 mph, averaging 91.3 mph. Jacob Webb hit 93.6 mph with his fastball. Shawn Armstrong’s sinker touched 95.4 mph. Hoby Milner reached 88.8 mph with his sinker.
- Kyle Higashioka had a 101.8 mph double. Josh Jung had a 101.2 mph single.
- Another game gone by, another game ahead, and the march goes on.
