Thursday morning Rangers news and links

Good morning, folks…

The Texas Rangers fell to the Boston Red Sox yesterday by a score of 6-4.

Joc Pederson started the season in a brutal slump, but he’s been on fire of late while using a torpedo bat.

Jeff Wilson writes that Corey Seager has the ability to carry the Rangers’ offense by himself.

Prior to Wednesday’s game, the Rangers put outfielder Kevin Pillar on the injured list, and are calling up Ezequiel Duran on Thursday to replace him.

Kennedi Landry did a Reddit AMA on Wednesday about the Rangers.

Evan Grant has his latest This Week In Rangers Baseball, Y’all out.

The Frisco Roughriders had a combined no-hitter on Wednesday behind Kohl Drake, Ryan Lobus and Skylar Hales.

Frisco shortstop Sebastian Walcott continues to move up the prospect rankings.

The Rangers have signed three pitchers with major league experience to minor league deals in the past few days.

MLB.com offers up a prospect from each team with closer potential, and I was surprised to see that Emiliano Teodo was not the pick for the Texas Rangers (though the guy they picked is a worthy choice).

MLB.com’s starting pitcher power rankings has one Ranger pitcher in the top ten and another getting Honorable Mention.
