The Rangers have signed veteran closer Craig Kimbrel to a minor league deal. Kimbrel has only pitched one major league inning for the Braves this season but has put up good numbers in the minors.
Kimbrel has nine All Star appearances and 440 saves over a sixteen year career.
Jake Burger seems comfortable at DH according to Bruce Bochy, who is having to rotate players at DH with Joc Pederson out with a broken hand.
Texas is being cautious with Nathan Eovaldi, who is eligible but unlikely to return from the IL on Friday.
Tyler Mahle didn’t have a great outing yesterday but it didn’t matter because the Ranger offense hit like they haven’t hit all season.
