Our opening game of NHL predictions has old rivals getting together on Hockey Night in Canada as the Montreal Canadiens visit the Boston Bruins. Montreal is expected to give Sam Montembeault the start in goal. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Canadiens are 6-3-1 in their previous 10 games but are coming off a loss to the Buffalo Sabres last time out. Nick Suzuki leads the team in assists (41) and points (57) so far this season.
Jeremy Swayman is the probable starter for the Bruins, who are 8-2 in their last 10 games. Boston did beat the Vegas Golden Knights in its last time on ice. The Bruins have the fourth-best power play unit in the league with a 26.4 percent success rate. David Pastrnak continues to be the standard bearer for the Bruins with 21 goals and 42 assists for 63 points.
Both teams have been playing well as of late. However, Boston breaks the trend of the road team winning in this season series.
Prediction: Bruins win 4-3.

Our second game of NHL predictions has the Detroit Red Wings going for the season sweep against the Winnipeg Jets. John Gibson is the expected starter for the Red Wings, and he’s been spectacular since December 1. Detroit is 7-2-1 in its previous 10 games but is coming off an overtime loss to the Minnesota Wild. Lucas Raymond is first in assists (39) and points (56) so far for the Red Wings.
Connor Hellebuyck is expected to get the nod for the Jets, who are 5-2-3 in their previous 10 games. However, Winnipeg suffered a shootout loss to the Florida Panthers in its last time on the ice. Mark Scheifele leads the club in goals (25), assists (36), and points (61).
Both teams are trying to rebound after losses the last time out. However, the Red Wings should get the win.
Prediction: Red Wings win 4-2.

Washington Capitals vs Edmonton Oilers

The final game of NHL predictions has the Washington Capitals visit the Edmonton Oilers. Washington is expected to give Charlie Lindgren the start in the blue paint. The Capitals are 4-6 in their last 10 games but did beat the Calgary Flames on Friday night. Alex Ovechkin and Tom Wilson are tied for the team’s lead in points with 44.
Connor Ingram is the probable starter for the Oilers, who are 5-3-2 in their last 10 games. However, Edmonton has dropped its last two games entering this matchup. Despite the loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Oilers did get Leon Draisaitl back last game. Connor McDavid leads the team in goals (30), assists (55), and points (85).
Washington is coming off a game on Friday night against Calgary. However, the Capitals should get the victory.
Prediction: Capitals win 5-3.
Prop Bets of the Night
We close out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Let’s go back to our featured game for our preferred prop bets of the night. The over/under for the Canadiens versus the Bruins is 6.5, and we like the over in this game.
As for individual props, take Cole Caufield to net a goal in this game for Montreal. On the Boston end of things, take Morgan Geekie to get the over on 1.5 points.
