The three-year starter for the Horned Frogs is headed to the NFC East
Congratulations to Brandon Coleman, the first Horned Frog selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, picked in the third round by the Washington Commanders with the 67th overall pick on Friday night. The versatile offensive lineman started games for three seasons in Fort Worth, playing at guard and tackle for the Horned Frogs. Coleman earned All-Big 12 honors the last two seasons, as an honorable mention in 2022 and Second-Team member in 2023.

Coleman was invited to the Senior Bowl showcase and the NFL Combine, where he measured 6-foot-4, 313 lbs with a 4.99 second 40-yard dash, a vertical jump of 34” and a broad jump of 9.5 feet, registering the highest Athleticism Score among all offensive line prospects at the 2024 Combine. The Commanders were in need for offensive line help to protect Heisman winner Jayden Daniels whom they selected with the No. 2 overall pick. Coleman is already listed as the Washington starting left tackle, per Ourlads.com, but could also step right in to take over at either guard slot for the Commanders.
Coleman joins 23 other Horned Frogs in the NFL, including seven other former TCU offensive lineman in the league. He becomes the 11th offensive lineman drafted in the last 16 drafts, including Super Bowl Champions Marcus Cannon, Marshall Newhouse, Halapoulivaati Vaitai, Joseph Noteboom, and Lucas Niang.
