NFL World Reacts To Tony Romo’s Performance On Sunday

Tony Romo is back on the air and NFL fans are excited.

CBS’ lead NFL in-game analyst is on the call for Sunday’s major AFC showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Browns. Romo is on the call with his play-by-play man, Jim Nantz.

We’ve already gotten some ‘Romostradamus’ moments on Sunday.

Tony Romo: “Trick play! It’s coming!”

*play happens*

Jim Nantz: “What gave it away, Tony?”

lmao Tony Romo just casually predicted a pass to Mike Remmers like it was nothing

Some are skeptical, though. Romo likely attended the Chiefs’ open practice on Friday, where he probably saw the team practice the play.

“Tony Romo probably lying on the broadcast. He almost certainly knew Remmers was going to get the ball because he went to the Friday Chiefs practice which is the day they practice redzone each week…” one fan tweeted.

Perhaps, but NFL fans are impressed regardless.

Tony Romo: “Uh oh, trick play formation. Here comes the trick play.”

Chiefs: *run a trick play*

I’m honestly curious how Romo isn’t a defensive coordinator by now.

Romo isn’t an NFL coach because CBS pays much better. The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback is likely making more than every head coach in the league – along with the majority of the league’s players.

He’s worth it, too. Few broadcasters in recent history, if any, have sparked as much interest and reaction as Romo.

The Browns and the Chiefs, meanwhile, are playing the second half on CBS.
